Lindsay Lohan was once thought of as a very talented actress who would undoubtedly go on to big things. I do not think that anyone believed these big things would include court appearances and a SCRAM anklet.
Lindsay has the talent to really do something special and I blame her parents for the hole that she has gotten in. The girl is in pain and no one is even trying to help her. Her father wants any excuse to get his camel toe jean wearing ass on television while her mother just wants to carry Lindsay around in her pocket so that her famous daughter can get her old ass into clubs where she has no place being.
They way Lindsay looked as she sat in court broke my heart. You could see the fear on her face and I hoped that maybe she would get jail time. I love Linds, but she needs a wake-up call. After so many people that we both know had died, a lot of us thought that Lindsay would finally realize what the risks were. Problem was, the deaths caused her so much pain she sank lower and not even her closest friends could help her.
With this SCRAM anklet and the judge seeming to be a hard ass, there is potential in this situation for us to get back the Lindsay Lohan that we loved. We have hope as she seems to have ditched her dark locks for the California girl blond. Now if we can just get her to stop spreading her pie for unavailable men.
Do you think that if Lindsay cleaned her act up she could regain her position in HW? Sure she wasn't A-List, but she was well on her way and was a force to be reckoned with. Would you accept a mayhem-less Lohan?

Girl still has talent. She can do a Downey if she can get clean and away from that poisonous family ...the Ronsons treated her better and loved her more than her own kin.
WITH ALL of it, she's still stayed lovable in her patheticness, so she could comeback.

I agree with you G.B. The whole Lohan clan is the definition of dysfunctional. I think she could make a come back but it' going to take some time. Our society is generally very forgiving. Watching her train wreck life is actually really sad. I hope she can get her act together or she's going to end up dead.
I think she could turn it all around if she leaves HW, gets clean (for real this time) and takes a decent role. Robert Downey, Jr did it-she should call him for advice.
I realize the girl is an adult (in the legal definition), but I think the state should remove her from her parents' influence (and remove their access to any and all monies she might still have) and put her in a place where she can get some freaking help from people who want more than to feed off of her fame. Which is the only impression I get from her parents.

Even though Lindsay has become a walking/talking caricature of a drugged out Hollywood starlet, I think most people would cheer her on if she could recover from her addictions and climb out of that hole she is in. I so hope she can do it.
Everybody so far has hit the nail on the head. Lindsay could make a great comeback if she got clean. And got away from herparents.
I think that unfortunately hollywood is much more likely to forgive a bad boy than a bad girl look at Winona Ryder...whereas say Charlie Sheen is forgiven once every six months for his various indiscretions.
hw forgave Drew Barrymore. They will forgive Linds.
I don't see how the SCRAM is going to make a difference since by all accounts prescription drugs are her drug of choice. Should could make a comeback if she hadn't pissed off so many people on the way up and down with her behavior. If no one likes you, they're not going to help you.
I wish she would pull herself together but as long as she lives in a world of denial that isn't going to happen. Her parents really fucked her up. IMO She needs serious psychiatric help to get past it. I feel bad for her but at some point you have to take responsibility for your actions.
