Spiderman Musical A Cash Cow

Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark has surpassed Wicked as the highest-grossing show on Broadway and it has left a couple of people shocked and scratching their heads.

Spiderman managed to beat out the ever-so-popular Wicked last week, which is a major feat considering that 100% of Wicked's audience were paying patrons while Spiderman had many discounted/complimentary tickets during it's preview week.

Perhaps it is all of the backstage drama that has plagued the Spiderman musical that has people anxious to see it before it is yanked out of the theaters.

Either way, Spiderman is off to a great start and Wicked, among others, had better be prepared for when Spiderman opens on Feb. 7.

Michelle Pfeiffer Joins Welcome To People

Shooting is set to begin next week on the film Welcome To People, and a last minute addition to the cast has made me happy.

Word broke tonight that Michelle Pfeiffer has joined a cast that already has some star power added to it.  With  Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks,and Olivia Wilde already part of the cast, Pfeiffer is a marvelous addition, stepping into the role of Pine's onscreen mother.

Welcome To People is a story of a man who returns home after the death of his estranged father to learn that his sister is an alcoholic with a 12 year old son.

Michelle Pfeiffer has also recently signed on to co-star in the film New Years Eve.

Until Death Do Us Part Blind

One boy, one girl.  A very popular couple on their series, actually probably the only reason the show is still on and as popular as it is.

Back when a certain show started, Nelle Wafer was a virtual unknown actress looking for her big break.  She had little parts here and there, but nothing that made her a household name.  When they were casting her love interest, she learned they were thisclose to filling it with a crush of hers and she was ecstatic.  Sadly, her crush passed on the role and they filled it with another actor, John Deere.

Nelle never really had met John Deere, but she considered him a washed up has been that never caught on and she wanted her big break.  She thought he would pull her down with him and Nelle was furious.  But a co-star told her that she and JD would have no chemistry if she worked it right and they would break them up.

JD knew that this was his last shot at stardom and he was not about to let her ruin it.  She played it down, he played it up and now years later they are stuck together.  At first, they dealt with it, but as their popularity grew, tensions ran wild.  Arguments on the set about him taking his time getting there, having to do re-shoots because the look of disdain was clear on their faces during intimate scenes.  After about a year or two, the writers had had enough.

But it's all about the viewers, don't ya know.  They demanded the couple back together and Nelle and JD were forced back to sleeping with the enemy.  Now it's a different game though.  Nelle has had it and with her contract about up, she is demanding that they split the two up or she walks.  And without her, there is nothing.  She has threatened the same thing in the beginning of the couple's courtship, but she wasn't as famous back then and they hired a little replacement to show her that she wasn't really needed.

Nelle is demanding that they split the couple up, using the excuse that their loving relationship would be the death of the show. But Nelle isn't budging and JD is joining the campaign.  The big head knows that a choice must be made, but the only way to separate the two would be by murder, and they already tried that.  They had better do something before their show becomes a hotbed of controversy.

Lindsay Lohan Back In Public

Lindsay Lohan is back out in the real world.  The actress, and I use that term lightly these days, made her first public appearance last night as she sat courtside and watch the L.A Lakers beat the New York Knicks.  Lohan hasn't really been seen out since her release from the Betty Ford clinic on Jan.3.

Lindsay is trying very hard to get her life together, and I commend her for that.  I have said it before, she had star potential that was killed by her money hungry parents.  It's been a rough road for Lohan, practically expected to overdose any day.  But my hopes are that she proves everyone wrong and returns to her rightful place in HW.  I mean if Drew Barrymore can do it, why can't Lindsay Blowhan Lohan?

Sadly, Linds still has one more legal hurdle to jump.  The L.A sheriff's office is investigating claims that Lohan assaulted an employee of the clinic in December.  And even though the victim herself isn't pursuing the matter, the witch hunt still goes on.  Leave the girl alone and let her get her shit together!

Genevieve Cortese To Return To Supernatural

Not sure if maybe the writers of Supernatural are out of ideas, or they have pulled out every stop to try and raise the ratings on what could be the final season, but they have come up with an episode that is insane.

Seems our handsome Winchester boys will find themselves in an alternate universe in an upcoming episode. In this universe, there are actors named.....wait for it.....Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.  And Jared is married to Genevieve Cortese, who returns to the series to play herself, not the late Ruby.

You figure that in this alternate universe, Jensen's wife Danneel Harris would pop up and grace us with her presence.  But, Frozie will not be making her way to her husband's show. Danneel stated that she didn't think that her appearance on Supernatural would go over to well and decided to remain in Tree Hill.

But is it that Frozie won't appear, or that she wasn't given the choice.  It's no secret that Frozie and Gen do not get along, but Frozie doesn't get along with most of the show members. Even though she visits the set often, she often talks down to people and treats them as if she is better than them.

Will you tune in to see Gen's revival on Supernatural?  I've tried to watch this season, but I think that the writers have gone to long.  Last season was a perfect ending and to bring in Gen of all people won't revive the show. Get Sam to fall for that Jensen Ackles dude in the alternate universe and we gots ourselves a show!

Illeana Douglas Joins Gossip Girl

Remember when Gossip Girl tried to produce a spin off about the life of a teenage Lily and her sister, Carol?  Well, unfortunately that spin off died before it even began, but Illeana Douglas is bringing the character of Carol to Gossip Girl in a potentially recurring role.  Douglas will play the older sister to Kelly Rutherford's character, Lily van der Woodsen

Krysten Ritter originated the role of Carol in the episode of Gossip Girl which served as the pilot, and word is that Carol is coming to the UES with some surprises of her own.

Holly McGee Vs. The Monster-In-Law

Holly McGee always carried herself with such poise and grace that it's hard to remember that she doesn't come from money.  She is one woman who actually moved up in this business by using her talent.  Holly worked her curvaceous ass off and it paid off.  She is a young woman with money, and her name carries respect.

Holly never was one to go through men, she only had a handful of men attached to her throughout her long career.  And best believe that our Holly was always the one calling the shots and getting everything she wanted.  Her current man, who is also in the business, isn't on her level of stardom, just the way she likes them.

However, as willing as he is to follow Holly's orders, his mother isn't.  And his mother has been around a lot lately, practically living with the couple.  Whenever she sees that Holly is getting to full of herself, she reminds her son he is the man in the relationship and practically shoves words down his throat.  She might as well attach strings, because he has become her puppet.

Holly isn't liking the change in her man's loyalties and it had become an all out war.  He has no idea that this war is going on behind his back and Holly has decided that the only way to win is get rid of the momma.  First she bought her a cruise for a birthday present to get rid of her.  But Mom wasn't going anywhere and donated the cruise as a prize in a silent auction.  Holly even enlisted the help of her man's family to get momma out of the picture for awhile, but to no avail.

What Holly doesn't know is that Mom has realized that she is trying to be given the slip.  Holly better pay close attention, because Mom is sneaky.  She was seen having lunch with Holly's ex and even tried to invite him to her birthday party Holly was throwing, claiming that he and her son should become friends.

I'll let you know who wins this war.  My money is on Holly though as she always tends to get what she wants.

Knocked Up Gives Birth To A Spinoff

Judd Apatow is reuniting Paul Rudd with Apatow's wife, Leslie Mann, for a spinoff to the hit comedy Knocked Up. 

No major details have been released yet and no one has mentioned a return by Seth Rogan or Katharine Heigl, though I believe it is safe to say that Apatow has no interest in working with Heigl again.

If you remember in Knocked Up, Rudd and Mann played a married couple going through some problems when Rudd's character is caught sneaking off to Fantasy Football meetings.  The two shared such chemistry that Apatow always plan to reunite the two.

The film is set to begin filming later this year and with a tentative release date of June, 2012.

Howard K. Stern Not Guilty

Howard K. Stern was fighting the accusation that he was in on a plan with others to fuel the late Anna Nicole Smith's drug habit, and today he walked away a free man.


Out of 9 counts, Stern was found guilty on 2, the others were thrown out by the judge who found them unfounded.

Howard has been fighting for years to prove that he was simply in love with Smith and never did anything to hurt her.  If you as me, he may not have done anything to harm her, but he has some secrets with Smith's baby daddy that they are keeping hidden.

Jaime Pressly Mug Shot

TMZ.Com has just released the mug shot of "My Name Is Earl" star  Jaime Pressly, who was busted for a DUI.  Around 11pm, Pressly was driving in Santa Monica when she was pulled over and failed a field sobriety test.  She was booked on suspicion of DUI and held on $15,000 bail.

The normal bail is set at $5,000 but Jaime's blood alcohol was over 15, raising the bail to $15,000.  No other vehicle was involved and no children were in the car.

Mel Gibson's Likes Sex Rough?

As if Mel Gibson hasn't had enough blows recently, it seems that his ex, Oksana Grigorieva is back spewing accusations.

Oksana testified under oath Tuesday in court that Gibson liked to beat her during sex.  This is a huge claim that she has never mentioned before in any interview with police, only claiming to have been stuck on Jan. 6 2009 by her ex.  However, she now states that Mel had performance problems and took to abusing her in order to become aroused.

I think that Oksana has realized that Mel has no credibility anymore and she thought that no matter what she said, anyone would believe it.  She isn't holding back in her attempt to win custody, but we hear that Mel has some tricks up his sleeve. 

Gwyneth Paltrow Was Drunk During Filming

Gwyneth Paltrow revealed today that she got into her Country Strong character as much as she could, but staying drunk during filming to portray the alcoholic country singer.

"You just get really drunk all the time.  Which is awesome," she revealed on Rachael Ray's talk show.  Paltrow claimed that she would start with a bloody mary around 10 am and keep it going all day long.

It's a good thing that Gwyneth has such will power and didn't keep up the character after filming.  If she wins an Oscar, she had better remember to thank Grey Goose.

Some things seen and heard around last night Peoples Choice Awards

1- Which recently single star spent most of the evening going on and on about how they were not the one dumped.  Said star took to anyone that would listen about how their ex was a lot trashier than everyone believed.  Though this doesn't surprise us, the couple never really liked each other anyway.


2- This HW couple spent all evening being professional, but whenever they got into a dark corner, hands went up dresses.  They got busted briefly, but the male star talked their way out of it and returned to their seats.

3- One good girl star has apparently had more than she can handle recently and was seen going into her purse over and over for a flask.  Guess she cannot handle the rainstorm that has come upon her and chose to drown in vodka instead.

Katy Perry's Stint On How I Met Your Mother

CBS has confirmed that Katy Perry will guest star in an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother, playing cousin to Jennifer Morrison's character Zoey.

The episode will be called "Oh Honey," with Perry portraying a naive, beautiful woman that the gang resorts to calling honey.

Katy joins a long list of stars to guest on HIMYM and word is she is a possible love interest for Teddy boy.
