Vanessa Hudgens Pushed Aside For Zac Efron

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron have been in a relationship for about 5 years now and while Zac has climbed the Hollywood ranks, Vanessa has just hung out.

She plays one of the lead's in the upcoming film Beastly, based on Alex Flinn's novel of the same name.  Vanessa is very excited about the movie being released, hoping that maybe it will give her some more credibility as a serious actress.  The film was set to be released on July 30th and Vanessa couldn't be more excited.  That is until CBS Films decided to go with a bigger star's film instead.

Charlie St. Cloud will be released on July 30th instead, starring Zac Efron.  CBS decided that Beastly could wait until march of 2011 to be released and chose to ride the Efron wave instead.


CBS Films issued this statement:


"There wasn't much left in the summer that we could move it to, we didn't want to go in fall, and the holidays are for four-quadrant movies. So we figured if we went to March, we'd have some school breaks happening around that time."

From prior experience I know that if the studio is hesitant about releasing your movie in the summer when all of your teenage fans would be most likely to see it, then it is not going to be your breakout role.  Sorry V.

Are Zac Efron And Vanessa Hudgens Bored?

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens attended the premiere of Get Him To The Greek in support of Zac's 17 Again co-star Leslie Mann.  Zac and Vanessa were all smiles on the red carpet, often whispering in each others ear and giggling.  Their private joke kept them amused during their walk on the carpet and we are told that after the premiere, these two were on a mission to have some fun.

But things are not so sunny for these two lovebirds I am hearing. They have been in their relationship for a long time and when you are that young, you change.  And I am hearing that they are both changing, maybe not for the better.

Zac has been working very hard on Charlie St.Cloud, a role that is hopes will help transition him into a serious actor.  I hope it works out since he turned down the role of Ren in Footloose for this. 

He has been been spending a lot of time filming, sailing, and dancing, during which Vanessa has been left home alone.  Could this young couple have already lost their spark?  Word on the street is that no matter how much Zac sizzles, there were never any major sparks.  Maybe he needs to take a class or read a book.  One thing is for sure, they sure know how to party.

And how freakin pretty are they?!
