Desperate Housewives Snatches Up Vanessa Williams
Things on Wisteria Lane just got a little more interesting. Fresh off her role as Wilhelmina Slater on the recently canceled Ugly Betty, Vanessa Williams has just signed on to join the cast of Desperate Housewives.
“I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives,” says Marc Cherry to TV Guide.. But don’t expect Vanessa to be at the center of next season’s big mystery. “I think our mystery is going to involve Paul Young [returning cast member Mark Moses].”
Fans who saw the season finale that aired this past Sunday know that Paul Young has returned to the neighborhood and nothing about him says sunshine and rainbows. Word is that Paul's son Zach (Cody Kasch) will not be returning with his father, but Paul did manage to pick up a new wife.
And for those of you rejoicing at the fact that Teri Hatcher's botox filled, whiny Susan Meyer moved off the lane, simma da na. She will still be on the show, especially with Paul living in her house.
And Vanessa easily takes the cake as the hottest housewife on the lane now. Move over Gabi, there's a new diva in town.
How hilarious would it have been if Marc Cherry had worked out a deal to use Vanessa as Wilhelmina on DH?

Desperate Housewives And Brothers & Sister's Play The Finale Game
THIS is a season finale! I have never been much into Brothers & Sisters, I did watch for the first season or so. However, I soon lost interest in the series. Last night was the season finale for B&S as well as Desperate Housewives.
DH failed miserably, providing up with a huge, tension-filled build-up but then dropping us. They only bombshell on DH was that babies were switched at some point on Wistera Lane by some nurse who had just died. My bet on that one is Susan's son and Bree's grandson. But with the time jump, I'm not sure of timing on that show anymore.
B&S provided a finale that within the last 5 minutes, changed everything. You can watch this clip, not knowing one thing about the show, and get chills all over your body. The cast pulled off emotional performances while not going overboard. With B&S jumping into the future next season, it's anyone's guess what is going to happen. All we know for sure is that we won't get to see Rob Lowe's sexy face anymore, or that ROCKIN ass of his.

Nicolette Sheridan Vs. ABC And Marc Cherry
Gossip Cop reports that on the heels of Nicollette Sheridan filing a $20 million lawsuit against “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry, in which she alleged he “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face an
d head,” ABC has responded.
Today, ABC issued the following statement: “While we have yet to see the actual complaint, we investigated similar claims made by Ms. Sheridan last year and found them to be without merit.”
Well, that’s not how Team Sheridan sees it.
Via her attorney, Mark Baute, Sheridan slapped back at reports that questioned the veracity of her allegations.
According to Sheridan’s attorney: “Mr. Cherry’s behavior towards Nicollette was and is nothing short of abusive and appalling… Nicollette asked ABC for help and protection from Mr. Cherry’s abusive behavior, and ultimately, ABC was not willing or able to provide that protection.
“Sometimes the only way that a safe and normal work environment can be created is when a hard-working person like Nicollette stands up for herself and her rights… We expect the case to be hard fought, and it will not be a surprise if ABC and Mr. Cherry try to depict Nicollette to be something other than a team player and long-standing industry professional.”

In my opinion, I have heard many a things about the ruckus behind the scenes of Desperate Housewives. It will be interesting to see where this ends up and how both parties deal. I have strong reason to believe that Sheridan isn't doing this for press and there is actually merit to her story. Time will tell.
I wonder if Marc ever stuck the Golden Girls back in the day? I have a feeling Bea Arthur would have beat his ass.
