Chris has struck quite a gold mine. If this movie is successful, he will be playing the hero for two movies as well as The Avengers, set for 2012.
I think Chris will be able to turn this franchise into a cash cow. He is no stranger to comic book characters, as he was The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four franchise. Chris is a talented and nice to look at and this role could either propel him to A-List or secure him in his current position.
I bet on the first. With all the hard work that went into casting the role, they wouldn't have picked someone unless they thought he could have pulled it off. Chris Evans, in my eyes, was a great choice.

I'm glad Chris Evans got it, Jensen would've sucked. No offense I love the boy on SPN but he's too pretty to be a superhero, especially not one as manly as CA.

I would have loved to see Jensen in that role. He deserves his big break. But how should I have done it with the 6th season of SPN starting to shoot around the same time? I'm sure he is not to happy about that right now.
he's good in "sunshine" by Boyle but it's the one movie i think he was good!

Excellent choice! I think he was the only reason to watch Fantastic Four. He does look the part!
I stuck with Jensen, would have been terrific. And prettiness is a request for a superhero role, hotness too.

Chris Evans looks great in spandex ;) But, I still think Capt. America should be older. He is the father-figure at Marvel.
I was hoping for Jensen that this would be the role to help jump-start his movie career, but kind of figured the shooting schedule wouldn't work out since Supernatural was renewed.
Still holding out for Jensen....
