David Beckham Becomes A Comic Book Star

People.Com reported that David Beckham is getting his own comic book titled Fame: David Beckham, which is due to come out in September.  The publisher, Bluewater Productions, is also releasing biographies of the Twilight stars and has featured Ellen DeGeneres in a series called Female Force.

Beckham's comic will bring his "amazing career to life, from his earliest days on the soccer field, when he dreamed of playing for Manchester United, to the challenges of his soccer days in the United States," Bluewater said Wednesday.

I find David Beckham sexy, I'm not blind.  However, am I the only one who wonders why he gets all this attention?  He spends most of his time on the injured list or just not playing.  What kind of athlete would be satisfied with selling out as he did?  I guess the kind that marries a Spice Girl.

The book will be 3.99 on Amazon.com and in stores.
