Arnold Schwarzenegger
announced this evening that he and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver
have separated.The former California governor's spokesperson issued the statement that shocked America.
Arnold and Maria say that after "a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer," they decided to live apart while they work on the future of their relationship.
Both acknowledge that they're going through a "time of great personal and professional transition." They will continue to parent their four children together, vowing that they will put their children first.
