Sean Hayes, an Emmy and SAG Award-winner who received a 2010 Tony Award nomination for his performance in Promises, Promises, will host the American Theatre Wing’s 64th Annual Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards® ceremony on Sunday, June 13th, live from Radio City Music Hall® in New York City. The Tony Awards telecast will air live on CBS from 8:00-11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay).
“I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Tony Awards,” said Hayes. “As the new guy on Broadway, it's an honor to be included in the established alumni.”
Hayes can currently be seen in the first Broadway revival of Promises, Promises alongside Kristin Chenoweth. For his performance, Hayes has received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, as well as nominations from the Drama League and the Outer Critics Circle.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Sean carrying on the tradition of excellent hosts for the Tony Awards,” said Executive Producer Glenn Weiss. “Sean's humor, charm and natural ability on the stage will make an already great show even better.”
